Van Musses Driveway and Cash Stolen

5:52 a.m. Someone who lives on Highway 2 East evidently has an ongoing cat problem. Authorities answered their questions.

7:06 a.m. An intoxicated man was seen walking down Helena Flats Road toward a school.

7:49 a.m. A vehicle was deemed not drivable after colliding with an elk near Whitefish. Although the driver was not injured, the elk had no such luck.

8:21 a.m. A pit bull cross puppy was found on Angel Point Road.

8:34 a.m. Someone removed a window from a Columbia Falls furniture store. Their tool of choice seems to have been a BB gun.

10:02 a.m. Unspecified stolen items were found at a local pawn shop.

11:21 a.m. A resident of Swan River Road felt that something was amiss when they discovered that their door was unlocked. Nothing was missing from the home.

12:45 p.m. The resident of a home on Eighth Avenue East became angry when a van with California plates became mired in his driveway. The reporting party yelled at the driver and insisted that he “fix the driveway.”

1:09 p.m. A suspicious subject of the male persuasion staggered down Chapman Hill. The fellow was gone when authorities arrived.

1:20 p.m. A Hungry Horse local called to report that a red and white vehicle has been parked in the same spot for three days. The owner was found in jail.

2:18 p.m. Water from a broken pipe at a Whitefish residence may have been running into the electrical outlets in the walls.

2:59 p.m. Five one-dollar bills were stolen from a vehicle parked at an Evergreen big box store.

4:54 p.m. The individual who called to report an unwanted subject on Lore Lake Road later called back to rescind the claim.

5:44 p.m. Three tires were slashed on Shefferd Lane.

6:59 p.m. Authorities were alerted to the presence of an unattended white van full of miscellaneous items on Reserve Drive. The vehicle was checked and all was well.

7:12 p.m. A 22-year-old female subject pocketed cosmetics at an Evergreen box store.

9:13 p.m. One man was evidently stalking another man on Sweebee Lane in Columbia Falls. Both were counseled and the reporting party declined to press charges.

10:24 p.m. Apparently, a subject outside a home in Marion wouldn’t leave the home but instead rang the doorbell over and over again. The incident turned out to be a family issue.

10:33 p.m. Someone broke into a fifth-wheel trailer on Shady Lane. No items were taken.

11:46 p.m. A concerned citizen called from Martin City to report that the red light was no longer blinking atop a local cell tower.

2:04 a.m. Power lines sparked in Lakeside.

3:05 a.m. A power line collapsed in Evergreen. Problems due to heavy snow continued throughout the night.
