A Rollins woman was arrested early Thursday morning after leading local police on a high-speed chase through Kalispell that ended when she collided with a patrol car.

Dispatchers received reports at 10 p.m. Wednesday that a driver on U.S. Highway 93 south of the city was possibly intoxicated. When authorities caught up with 28-year-old Emily Lorraine Woodman on Meridian Drive in Kalispell, she refused to pull over. Instead, according to police, she bolted west on U.S. Highway 2 toward Hart Hill.

During the pursuit, police say Lorraine abruptly made a U-turn in the middle of the highway, striking a county vehicle and leading law enforcement back through Kalispell toward Evergreen.

Woodman then allegedly turned into the K-Mart parking lot and collided with another county vehicle. Sheriff’s deputies placed spike strips across the road and the chase ended when Woodman ran over them and then crashed head-on into a third patrol car in Evergreen, according to police. Both Woodman and the officer sustained minor injuries in the crash

Woodman was arrested at about 1:30 a.m. and is being held pending charges of felony criminal endangerment. Authorities suspect Woodman was intoxicated during the chase.
