9:09 a.m. An older male subject with a puppy attempted to get kids’ attention at a bus stop on South Woodland Drive. Police will be providing extra patrol in the area.
9:15 a.m. Three windows have been shot out of a Columbia Falls business since last Saturday.
9:15 a.m. Someone spray-painted a Lakeside convenience store.
9:28 a.m. A woman on Blaine Mountain Road was looking for a gun when she realized that three of her firearms were missing.
10:38 a.m. An injured Canada Goose was spotted near a home on Trumble Creek Road. The fate of the fowl is currently unknown.
11:24 a.m. An 8-month-old infant was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center after a fall resulted in bleeding from the nose.
11:56 a.m. A Columbia Falls woman reports that a former male friend has been phoning her parents and inquiring as to her whereabouts.
1:02 p.m. License plates were stolen from a vehicle on Whitefish Stage Road.
2:42 p.m. A resident of Forest Ridge Drive noticed that their baseboard heaters were glowing red, even once the power was turned off. Although the reporting party smelled smoke and heard sirens, there was no real danger.
3:13 p.m. Loud music blared from a vehicle near a local apartment complex. The reporting party threatened to “take a bomb and blow him up,” but then changed his mind and decided to yell at the driver instead.
3:44 p.m. Someone on Highway 35 called to report that their was a dead dog at the top of their driveway. The reporting party would like the carcass hauled away.
4:13 p.m. Individuals on Terry Road were reportedly “smoking dope” and leaving their children unattended. The issue turned out to be an ongoing neighbor problem.
5:25 p.m. A local man was taken to jail after violating his parole. The individual was caught driving a car after receiving numerous DUIs.
6:00 p.m. Someone on Harbin Hill Road received a letter from the Arizona Department of Public Safety regarding a traffic violation. The recipient has in fact never been to Arizona and will be contacting the appropriate officials.
6:21 p.m. Three cross-country skiers, two men and a woman, got lost in the woods near Blacktail Mountain. They indicated that they were completely surrounded by trees. The subjects were found four hours later approximately five miles south of Blacktail Mountain. They carried no matches or other emergency supplies.
9:28 p.m. A resident of Primrose Court called to report that a vehicle was driving wildly around in their yard. As it turns out, the driver was merely having troubles with icy road conditions.
2:08 a.m. A loose horse wandered into a neighboring yard on Rogers Road.
3:29 a.m. A noisy prowler on Edgewood Drive was more likely the sound of ice falling from the reporting party’s roof.
4:21 a.m. Columbia Falls Fire Department battled a fire at a local sawmill for two hours.
