A year after leading Columbia Falls to the Northwestern A girls divisional basketball championship and a trip to the state tournament, the DeWit sisters – Kayla and Kelsey – have turned in even more remarkable performances so far this year. Combined, the sisters are averaging nearly 33 points and 26 rebounds rebounds per game.
Kayla, a junior, averages 19.5 points, second best in the conference, while Kelsey, senior, chips in 13.2, third best. Kelsey leads the conference in rebounding at 13.5 per contest and Kayla is right behind her at 12.1. The next closest rebounder is Jackie Mee at 9.1. Mee leads the conference in scoring with an average of 20.1.
For boys, Polson’s Tim Rausch and Kyle Bagnell lead the league in scoring at 17.5 and 16.2, respectively. Kaleb Johnson of Columbia Falls leads all Northwestern A rebounders with 8.5 per game.
