NorthWestern Encourages Montanans to Prepare for Storm

BUTTE – NorthWestern Energy is encouraging its customers in Montana to be prepared for possible weather-related power outages this weekend.

The utility says in a statement issued Friday that outages may result if predicted ice, snow and high winds occur.

NorthWestern Energy says its has crews on standby and will respond to any outages as soon as possible.

But it warned that extended outages lasting longer than two hours are possible, particularly in rural areas.

NorthWestern Energy serves about 650,000 customers in Montana, South Dakota and Nebraska.
