Hungry Llamas and Dumpster Peek-a-Boo

5:00 a.m. A woman accused a man of breaking a door at an Evergreen residence immediately following a disturbance. The man then left the premises.

8:18 a.m. An abandoned bicycle was located in the bushes near a business on Edgewood Drive.

10:50 a.m. Three llamas on Yeoman Hall Road were reportedly not getting enough to eat. Authorities found that the llamas are in good condition but left a notice for the owner to call the department.

11:07 a.m. A found dog got away from the reporting party before authorities could pick it up.

11:17 a.m. Police were unable to catch a black dog running in Highway 93 South.

11:39 a.m. Neighbors on Magstadt Lane evidently had some issues regarding the placement of snow. All parties were counseled.

12:13 p.m. An older white pickup truck was apparently parked suspiciously on Highway 93 South.

3:20 p.m. One local woman allegedly made harassing phone calls to another.

3:24 p.m. Stolen items were recovered by a security guard in the bathroom of an Evergreen box store.

3:25 p.m. A baggie of marijuana was found at an Evergreen box store. The material was secured and destroyed.

4:17 p.m. A female driver was reportedly seen beating a child in her vehicle with a baseball bat. Unfortunately, the car could not be located.

4:36 p.m. A youth reported as missing arrived safely at home approximately two minutes after police received the call.

5:34 p.m. A man allegedly shoplifted a “bunch of stuff” from an Evergreen box store and took off running.

6:02 p.m. Someone at a local post office called to report that an adult female subject kept appearing from behind a dumpster.

6:09 p.m. An intoxicated panhandler was reportedly yelling at cars near an Evergreen box store.

7:04 p.m. A resident of Shadow Lane called to report that a fire had started in their kitchen and was spreading down the hallway. Firefighters arrived to find that the blaze was in fact confined to the stove.

7:37 p.m. Someone reportedly sent threatening text messages to his ex-girlfriend on Harmony Court.

7:50 p.m. Two men engaged in a physical altercation in Marion but would not disclose the reason for the fight.

1:04 a.m. A Creston man was arrested pending charges of kidnapping, assault with a weapon and violation of a restraining order after allegedly holding his estranged wife, her friend and her father at gunpoint for three hours. According to police, the man forced his wife to bind the other victims with duct tape before restraining her in the same manner. After three hours he released and surrendered his weapon to the friend. Her husband alerted authorities upon her return home.

2:19 a.m. A 5-year-old child was reported as missing but located with a parent’s friend approximately three hours later. Evidently, the friend had taken the child after noting that the mother and stepfather were extremely intoxicated.
