After consecutive wins over the weekend, including a 71-65 victory over cross-town rival Glacier High School, the Flathead Braves’ boys basketball team has climbed into the upper half of the Western AA standings. The Braves are 8-5, including 4-2 in league play. Only Missoula Sentinel and Helena Capital have better conference records at 5-1 and 5-2, respectively. With the Feb. 5 loss to Flathead, Glacier fell to 9-5 overall and 3-3 in the conference.
In girls, Glacier moved to 7-7 (2-4) with a 49-38 victory over Flathead on Feb. 5. The Bravettes, after a loss to Missoula Hellgate the following day, dropped to 3-10 (0-6). Below are links to the Class AA standings as of Feb. 8, though the Glacier boys’ record is incorrect. The standings say the Wolfpack are 8-5 (2-3), but they are 9-5 (3-3).
