Reckless Driver and a Clever Pooch

7:44 a.m. A brown horse showed up at a home on Old Tally Lake Road. The homeowner will be caring for it until the owner is located.

9:13 a.m. According to a caller, a dog barks every day at the end of Memory Lane.

11:08 a.m. Someone on Highway 93 reports that a truck was driving a “hair” over the center line.

2:03 p.m. Reports of an electrical smell and smoke on Electric Avenue turned out to be unfounded.

3:59 p.m. Someone called to report that a pit bull mix on Maple Drive appeared to be starving. Animal control officials arrived and found the dog to be perfectly healthy.

4:01 p.m. An individual was transported to the hospital after sustaining a laceration to the finger. It is unknown how the injury occurred.

4:05 p.m. On River Road, someone noticed that a dog was stuck in a pen with three inches of water. Authorities counseled the soggy dog’s owner.

4:08 p.m. Police performed a welfare check on an adult male subject with a child panhandling at an Evergreen box store. Both parties were completely fine.

4:43 p.m. A resident of Castle View Road was concerned that someone might have broken into a neighbor’s empty house. Authorities found nothing suspicious at the home.

5:10 p.m. According to a Kila resident, a neighbor’s dog barks far too frequently. Despite sitting at the residence for quite some time, authorities did not hear the dog bark.

5:12 p.m. An unruly and possibly delusional subject was taken to the hospital from a local denture studio.

7:41 p.m. An unwanted ex-boyfriend in Whitefish was gone when authorities arrived.

8:03 p.m. A father and his son engaged in a verbal altercation on Spring Prairie Road.

10:44 p.m. Two female subjects have evidently been threatening one another via text message. The subjects are both students at a local junior high school.

11:07 p.m. A concerned caller detected a gas odor in the living room of their Whitefish home.
