HELENA – The Department of Labor says that unemployed Montana workers will now be able to qualify for extended benefits.
Labor Commissioner Keith Kelly says the stat’s ongoing levels of unemployment triggered the longer federal program.
He says the extended benefits will provide needed help to those Montanans who are still having a hard time finding work.
Individuals eligible for the extended benefits can expect to receive up to a maximum of 13 weeks. Extended benefits are paid at the same weekly benefit amount as the regular claim.
