Shooting Blanks and a Neighborhood Feud

6:55 a.m. A Bigfork resident reports that they found their lost dog at a neighbor’s house. The reporting party suspects that the neighbor may have beaten the dog.

8:10 a.m. Tools were stolen from a location near Ashley Creek. The stolen items are worth approximately $6000.

8:40 a.m. Someone in Kila decided to press charges regarding an assault that occurred last night.

8:59 a.m. A driver on McCaffery Road called to report that there was ice on the road.

10:06 a.m. Horses on Sanctuary Farm Lane appeared to be particularly hungry.

12:38 p.m. A gas smell at the Whitefish public library turned out to be from a cleaning product.

12:51 p.m. A dog killed a cat in Columbia Falls.

12:54 p.m. Someone reportedly walked into a home on Trumble Creek Road and left civil papers inside.

4:42 p.m. A juvenile male locked himself in the bathroom at his Columbia Falls home. The subject eventually emerged.

5:30 p.m. Authorities chatted with the owner of a vicious German shepherd in Martin City.

6:26 p.m. A small food fire blazed momentarily in the kitchen of a Creston home.

6:31 p.m. Neighbors on Saddle Loop in Bigfork apparently cannot agree on the proper usage of outdoor lights.

7:14 p.m. Someone on Bison Drive has evidently been shooting blanks in their garage. A neighbor does not appreciate this habit.

9:33 p.m. Ten to fifteen horses were seen walking down the middle of Voerman Road in Whitefish, while twenty more were seen approaching city limits. The horses were effectively rounded up.

10:52 p.m. Someone driving by a Columbia Falls bar noticed what appeared to be a fight in the parking lot. A later call from inside the bar supported this claim.

2:09 a.m. Loud music on Whitefish Stage Road was quiet when police arrived.

4:12 a.m. A resident of Martin City was reunited with a beloved canine pal after an alleged dognapping.
