Fire Destroys Missoula building

By Beacon Staff

MISSOULA – Missoula fire officials say a fire destroyed a building on the south side of the city that housed seven businesses.

The fire was reported shortly after 2:30 a.m. Monday. The cause remains under investigation.

Fire Capt. Dick Wear says the two-story building is in danger of falling in on itself. The exterior walls were still standing, but the roof collapsed along with many interior walls.

No one was believed to be in the building when the fire started and no injuries were reported.
