Former Yellowstone Bank President Charged With Embezzlement

By Beacon Staff

BILLINGS – The former president of a Billings branch of Yellowstone Bank has reached an agreement to plead guilty to embezzling $17,000 from the bank.

An information filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Billings charges William Guy Paul with embezzling the money from mid-March through mid-May of 2009.

Paul’s attorney, Kelly Varnes, says Paul has made full restitution.

Varnes says no date has been set for Paul’s arraignment, but he expects it will come some time in the next few weeks.

Paul worked 11 years as a commercial lender and president of the downtown Billings branch of Yellowstone Bank.
