Schweitzerism: On the Budget

Gov. Brian Schweitzer made it clear Tuesday that he doesn’t see a need for a special session and reiterated (as only he can) that he believes proposed cuts will prevent the state budget from dipping into the red. <a href="http://billingsgazette.com/news/state-and-regional/montana/article_4b17f70e-1b5a-11df-b832-001cc4c03286.html" title="From the Billings Gazette:”>From the Billings Gazette:

“It doesn’t sound like a cookie jar that’s empty,” Schweitzer told reporters. “It sounds like there’s a few cookies in there and they’re not old and some of them have chocolate chips in them.”
