POLSON – A 25-year-old Polson man has pleaded not guilty to violently shaking his 3-month-old daughter.
Christopher Huntsman entered not guilty pleas in District Court on Wednesday to charges of aggravated assault, criminal endangerment and assault on a minor. All the charges are felonies.
According to court records, Huntsman told investigators that on Feb. 9 he became frustrated with the baby’s crying and shook her.
Prosecutor Mark Russell says the infant’s recovery looks good right now but they won’t know about any permanent damage until the child grows beyond the developmental stage.
Huntsman remains in the Lake County Jail on $100,000 bail. His next court appearance is set for March 17.
