Reckless Driving and an Inflatable Toy

7:50 a.m. An employee of a local business reportedly arrived at work intoxicated and was therefore not wanted at that location. The subject was evidently too drunk to drive.

8:03 a.m. Windows were broken out of a bus in Whitefish.

9:12 a.m. Someone on Commons Way apparently saw light smoke coming from the window of a nearby condo. Responders found no fire on site.

10:29 a.m. A Hungry Horse resident called to share information regarding their schnauzer that disappeared in late January.

10:41 a.m. A trash receptacle was vandalized at a Whitefish pottery shop.

11:59 a.m. A 50-year-old female subject attempted to shoplift an inflatable toy from a local sporting goods store. Officers contacted her husband to pick her up, as she was highly intoxicated.

12:24 p.m. Authorities visited with the owner of three allegedly vicious pit bulls on Silverleaf Drive.

2:21 p.m. Apparently, a “little dirt bike” was driving recklessly up and down Lake Hills Court. The driver was counseled.

4:25 p.m. In Columbia Falls, a group of leather-clad motorcycle enthusiasts refused to leave a resident’s property. The subjects were gone when authorities arrived.

4:28 p.m. Six people were reportedly drinking and smoking in the middle of Idaho Avenue, one of whom was allegedly carrying a pistol. The individuals were apparently headed to a local shooting range.

5:04 p.m. A large rock was removed from Highway 2 East.

7:04 p.m. A pedestrian in a brown jacket was reportedly stumbling in and out of Shady Lane.

9:42 p.m. A barking dog in a van on Highway 35 was not neglected but had access to food and water.

10:25 p.m. Someone received a call from their sister, who claimed that the family dog had been beaten and shot. Authorities investigated and discovered that the claim was unfounded.

2:57 a.m. A suspicious man in a hooded sweatshirt peeked in cars at an Evergreen convenience store.
