Tiny Montana Village Considers Obscenity Ban

By Beacon Staff

BILLINGS – Leaders of the tiny town of Bainville are considering a ban on obscene materials and performances.

There are no strip clubs in the town of 150, but the ordinance would attempt stop any such businesses from operating there.

Mayor Dennis Portra says the ordinance comes after speculation about a new watering hole in town, Gracie’s Bar & Casino. Bar manager Todd Kargness says the owners of the bar also own a strip joint in North Dakota, but said they have no intentions of bringing dancers to Bainville.
