Prescription Altercation and Six Peeping Toms

8:44 a.m. A truck was reportedly ablaze near a very large tree on Toftum Lane in Columba Falls.

8:55 a.m. A golden retriever and a hound dog have apparently been running amok on Silverleaf Drive for quite some time.

12:56 p.m. The body of a deceased male was found frozen in the snow near Essex, and had evidently been there for months. Cause of the individual’s death was not immediately apparent on the scene.

2:16 p.m. A man and woman argued about prescription medications on Kings Loop.

2:32 p.m. Police arrived on Dower Draw to check a transient camp but no one was home at the time.

4:17 p.m. A computer and a radar detector were stolen from a car on Resthaven Drive.

4:33 p.m. Someone noticed a light blue truck tearing up the grass at a property on Zimmerman Road.

4:36 p.m. When caught in the act of shoplifting, a 67-year-old male subject offered to pay for the variety of foodstuffs he had stuffed under his coat at a Bigfork grocery store.

6:15 p.m. Police returned to Kings Loop to contend with a woman who was beating a car with a shovel following an argument about prescription medications. The woman was given a ride to a friend’s house.

6:43 p.m. Two bicycles were stolen in Evergreen.

7:08 p.m. A man on Kings Loop called to report that a woman with whom he had previously argued about prescription medication had returned to the home. She in fact only wanted to return her car and was soon on her way.

7:47 p.m. Someone on North Cedar Drive reports that six male subjects shone their vehicle lights into the reporting party’s house and then peered into their window.

9:58 p.m. Authorities provided advice over the phone regarding a school bully in Whitefish.

10:34 p.m. A resident of Pheasant Road in Columbia Falls apparently noticed someone in dark clothing standing outside their home.
