Montana Secretary of State Says More Election Judges Needed

HELENA – The secretary of state says more election judges are needed to help deal with an anticipated shortage for the fall elections.

Linda McCulloch, who runs the state elections, said many counties are in dire need of election judges.

She says the local elections offices are actively looking for help. There are certain requirements, such as not being related to any candidates. The workers get paid minimum wage.

McCulloch says the election judges are critical to ensuring the elections are fair and accurate.
