Stolen Photos and a Timely Arrival

6:21 a.m. Tires were slashed on Pheasant Road in Columbia Falls.

8:04 a.m. A Rottweiler at large on Three Mile Drive had a friendly disposition and was returned to its home.

9:15 a.m. A large plume of smoke billowing from a site at the base of Big Mountain was in fact a controlled burn.

10:24 a.m. Someone returned a police flashlight that had been found on River Road.

12:36 p.m. Although tied up on a deck and very noisy, a dog on Stoner Creek Road was not being neglected.

12:45 p.m. In Columbia Falls, a process server evidently banged on doors and windows and attempted to enter a residence.

1:13 p.m. A leaf fire on Harvest View Drive was under control.

1:44 p.m. Someone on Conrad Drive evidently received a strange phone call. The specific nature of the call is unknown.

2:08 p.m. Authorities performed a welfare check at the request of a local man who had gotten into an argument with his wife. The woman was located with relatives in Idaho.

2:12 p.m. A vehicle in which individuals were reportedly partaking of dangerous drugs was gone when authorities arrived.

3:52 p.m. Officers left water and a door notice at the home of two horses on Lakeside Boulevard. Although they were reportedly being neglected, the creatures appeared healthy.

3:54 p.m. Kids that were in the dugout at a Columbia Falls baseball field were gone when officers arrived.

5:24 p.m. Two dogs killed two chickens on Shady Lane.

5:38 p.m. A grass fire burning out of control on Highway 35 was quickly extinguished by Bigfork Fire Department.

6:24 p.m. Someone on Helena Flats Road reports that numerous items were stolen from her home. The miscellany included cash, a social security card, makeup, toiletries, a four-piece nail set and several photos from a Las Vegas vacation.

6:58 p.m. A woman called to report that a pit bull leaped the fence and threatened her, her daughter and her dogs. Fortunately, a passing motorist bumped the dog with his vehicle and saved the reporting party.

10:31 p.m. Someone who was not supposed to be in a shop at a local RV park was removed from the location.
