Kalispell police say a 33-year-old Kalispell man has died of injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash.
David Joel Knapton died Friday at Kalispell Regional Medical Center after suffering head injuries in a motorcycle crash at about 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Sgt. Alan Bardwell says Knapton and a friend were riding home from a party, with Knapton following his friend’s motorcycle. The friend slowed down to turn from U.S. 93 onto Reserve Drive when Knapton’s motorcycle rear-ended the first one. Neither men were wearing helmets.
Both men were taken to the hospital. The friend was treated and released, but later arrested for driving under the influence and refusing a breath test.
