Dead Llama and Dueling Stereos

12:22 a.m. A man on Highway 2 East was invited to lower the volume of his music.

7:22 a.m. Shots fired near a business on Highway 2 East turned out to be a Montana Highway Patrol officer dispatching an injured deer.

8:56 a.m. A resident of North Ferndale Drive called to ask questions regarding a neighbor’s dead llama.

9:05 a.m. Reports of a house fire in Somers turned out to be a food smoker near the residence in question.

9:33 a.m. A missing 33-year-old Hungry Horse man was soon found by his friends.

12:10 p.m. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle in the Bigfork area.

12:47 p.m. A Lakeside landlord reports that an apartment unit was trashed after the tenants were kicked out.

12:47 p.m. Money was stolen from a Whitefish home.

2:41 p.m. Somers Fire Department hastily extinguished a dumpster fire.

2:55 p.m. Neighbors evidently engaged in a “dueling stereos” match and threatened one another on Solberg Drive. Police requested that they lower their volume.

5:13 p.m. A woman in Whitefish became nervous when it appeared that three intoxicated men were following her.

5:43 p.m. A tree caught fire on Willow Glen Drive but did not reach a nearby residence.

6:35 p.m. A local mechanic allegedly refused to return a woman’s car and then threw her to the ground. Authorities are investigating.

6:48 p.m. In Marion, a loose dog bit a 13-year-old boy.

6:51 p.m. Two unknown subjects, a man and a woman, rode a four-wheeler down a driveway in Whitefish. When approached, they flipped off the homeowner and called her names.

7:26 p.m. Two cows in Highway 2 near Kila eventually left the thoroughfare.

8:07 p.m. Someone on Highway 35 reports that a hand saw was stolen from their residence.

10:54 p.m. A man and woman at a local trailer court yelled at one another before authorities separated them for the night.
