By Beacon Staff

Ten Flathead-area players have been named all-state in Class A and Class B basketball, including five from Columbia Falls. In boys, three of Columbia Falls’ five starters were selected to the Class A all-state team, a remarkable achievement. Seniors Mitchell Wassam and Kyle Howell and junior Kaleb Johnson were named all-state for the Wildcats.

For girls, the Dewit sisters – Kelsey and Kayla – were named all-state in Class A. Kelsey is a senior and Kayla is a junior. Rounding out the Class A all-state squads for the Flathead are Polson’s Breanne Kelley for girls and Polson’s Kyle Bagnell for boys. Libby’s Jackie Mee was also named to the Class A all-state girls team.

Bigfork High School has three Class B all-state selections: juniors Mallery Knoll and Caitlin Charlebois for girls and junior Christian Ker for boys.
