Dead Cat and a Curmudgeon with Rocks

7:39 a.m. Someone on Maple Drive apparently found a prophylactic implement along with a suggestive note in their mailbox. Authorities are investigating.

7:40 a.m. On Helena Flats Road, an individual allegedly took firewood that did not belong to them.

8:05 a.m. The owner of a dog tied up near a Coram bar was counseled after the pup displayed aggressive behavior.

9:49 a.m. A stereo was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a business on Highway 2 East.

11:12 a.m. On Addison Court, a cat was attacked by a neighbor dog.

11:14 a.m. Someone called to report that a school bus was parked at a local bar. The bus driver was found in the casino safely enjoying a non-alcoholic beverage.

11:57 a.m. A concerned citizen called to report that a mountain lion was sitting on the fence at the county landfill. Fortunately, the feline was actually dead and posed no danger to dump patrons.

3:33 p.m. Although dogs on Baldrock Road have reportedly been killing a neighbor’s chickens, there are currently no witnesses to the crime.

7:19 p.m. A man on East Cottonwood Drive evidently looked around in a suspicious manner before getting into a vehicle and driving away. The man was stopped for displaying improper license plates.

9:08 p.m. A resident of a Columbia Falls trailer park has evidently made a practice of yelling at the newspaper delivery person. Most recently, he not only yelled but hid behind a truck and threw rocks at the individual.

10:34 p.m. On Shadow Lane, a man threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend claiming that, “if [he] can’t have her, no one will.” The man was counseled and did not harm the woman.
