MISSOULA – A 32-year-old medical marijuana patient is facing felony drug charges after a search of his Missoula home turned up 95 pot plants — 89 more than he was allowed to have under state law.
Shannon Lee Lange was arrested Wednesday on charges of criminal production of dangerous drugs and criminal possession with intent to distribute.
Authorities say they served a search warrant after a months-long investigation and found the plants growing in a crawl space beneath Lange’s home, which he had expanded into a full basement.
They seized 89 of the plants, but left behind six plants and an ounce of dried marijuana that Lange was allowed to have as a registered medical marijuana patient.
