Church Mischief and Unsafe Shooting

8:07 a.m. A teen male behaved in a destructive manner in Whitefish.

9:16 a.m. Deputies counseled a possibly suicidal subject through the window of her Hidden Lane home. Alcohol was involved.

10:32 a.m. Someone apparently tried to start a fire in the bushes near a local apartment complex. Tenants of the complex also report seeing several kids in the area who may have been connected with the crime.

12:02 p.m. Evidently, someone put paint thinner in a towel and urinated in a trash can at a local church.

12:08 p.m. A stray cat on Solberg Drive did not look well and was taken to the shelter.

12:12 p.m. Horses on McMannamy Draw had no hay, according to a concerned caller. The horses were in fact on pasture and had plenty to eat.

5:11 p.m. A yellow moped was reported stolen from a location on Spotted Bear Road. The bike was not registered and not running.

6:35 p.m. After several hours of searching, deputies located a missing 10-year-old boy at a local park. The child was returned to his father.

6:54 p.m. Two amorous teens, a male and a female, were found hiding in a boat near a local inn.

9:13 p.m. Two or three individuals fighting in a Shady Lane parking lot scattered when authorities arrived.

10:21 p.m. According to a caller, someone in Bigfork was shooting unsafely and possibly in the direction of beavers. Both parties were counseled.

10:41 p.m. A Somers man was treated for a gunshot wound through the thigh after the gun he was field stripping accidentally discharged.

10:59 p.m. A possibly suicidal woman poised at the top of Hungry Horse Dam was talked down by a cousin and taken to the emergency room.

12:05 a.m. Someone called to report that a vehicle with its lights on had been parked at an Evergreen box store for over thirty minutes. The car was gone when authorities arrived.
