Montana Western Football Scrimmage in Ronan

By Beacon Staff

The University of Montana Western’s football team is holding its spring scrimmage at Ronan High School at 1 p.m. on Saturday April 17. The Bulldogs traditionally hold the annual scrimmage in Dillon, but because they have more than 25 players from Northwest Montana on the roster this year, and because Ronan High School recently installed a $600,000 synthetic turf at its field, school officials decided to hold the event in this part of the state.

Quite a few of the players are from Kalispell, including Charlie Dotson, Reed Watkins, Mike Gallagher, Stetson Spooner, Coltin Weber, Pat Hergesheimer and more. Ferris encourages anybody to attend.

“Hopefully we can get a lot of people and get those junior classes and other guys there watching,” he said.
