9:18 a.m. A resident of Whitetail Lane evidently tried to run over a neighbor with a moving motor vehicle after being asked to slow down.
10:08 a.m. What was thought to be a transient camp on state land near Happy Valley turned out to be a kids’ tree fort.
12:53 p.m. Someone found three keys on Cynthia Drive.
1:21 p.m. Foaming at the mouth, a black lab evidently displayed vicious behavior and wouldn’t let a person leave their Hungry Horse home.
2:17 p.m. Apparently, a man hit a woman in Somers. The reporting party does not know the subjects, and the two could not be located when authorities arrived.
2:55 p.m. Locks were cut and some sort of tanks vandalized at a residence in Whitefish.
3:24 p.m. Someone reportedly found part of a motor scooter on a road in Martin City, and requested that officers check it out.
4:19 p.m. Goats momentarily obstructed Highway 2 in Columbia Falls but vanished before deputies arrived.
4:47 p.m. A resident of Smith Lake Road called to report that a neighbor was shooting toward the reporting party’s house. The shooter was in fact aiming toward a safe and appropriate target.
5:03 p.m. Someone on Mountain Drive found his camper at his brother’s house. The brother evidently did not request permission before taking the rig.
5:51 p.m. An intoxicated man called to report that his car had been stolen, and that a homicide would occur if he found the thief. The man’s wife indicated that the only car they own was at the home and had not been moved.
6:09 p.m. Deputies responded to a report of an impaired driver in the ditch on Trumbull Canyon Road. The driver reportedly left a teen subject at that location before driving away with other children in the car.
6:32 p.m. An incident that was reported as a possible explosion on Smith Lake Road turned out to be gunshots in the area.
7:05 p.m. Three teenagers reportedly walked along a fence in Evergreen and tormented the dog on the other side. The youths were duly counseled.
8:37 p.m. An unconscious man was transported to the hospital after falling down in the bathroom at a local bar.
9:29 p.m. A woman in Evergreen called authorities after smelling smoke in the vicinity of her home. Although it appeared to the caller that someone had extinguished a cigarette on the side of the house, the smoke was traced to an electrical problem.
11:11 p.m. A group of adults were seen urinating on a local school.
