Dead “Horse” and Ducky Love

8:03 a.m. An individual on Hodgson Road was given a verbal warning regarding their wandering dogs.

10:40 a.m. Screens were removed from a porch in Lakeside. It is unknown whether the culprit is of the animal or human variety.

11:13 a.m. A projector screen was apparently stolen from outside a local ice rink.

12:53 p.m. In Whitefish, someone drove away from the pump without paying for $41.12 worth of gas.

1:08 p.m. Two men physically fought at a location on Shady Lane.

1:55 p.m. Someone in Hungry Horse noticed that a car was slowly driving up and down the road. The caller believed that the subject might be casing a deceased neighbor’s home.

3:32 p.m. Someone called to report that they had paid a large amount of money for a helicopter ride they never received. The issue was not found to be criminal, and the parties worked it out.

4:10 p.m. Authorities will be providing extra patrol in a Columbia Falls neighborhood, where a vehicle has been racing up and down the road.

4:36 p.m. A limping Saint Bernard was found on Batavia Lane. The pooch was returned to its owner.

4:55 p.m. Someone in Whitefish called to report that an individual who used to live in their house was driving very slowly past the home.

5:42 p.m. Someone called to report that a dead horse was lying in a field on Highway 206. Come to find out, the horse was in fact an elk that had been properly dispatched.

6:46 p.m. Local fire departments responded to a burning wood pile that had been left unattended by a construction crew. The blaze was contained before it could reach a nearby propane tank.

7:41 p.m. On Swan River Road, kids were seen riding bikes and skateboards while hanging on to the back of a moving motor vehicle.

7:54 p.m. A reportedly injured duck in Evergreen was actually quite content, and was simply mating with another duck.

8:24 p.m. Four male subjects attempted to leave a Whitefish grocery store with a cart full of groceries.

10:12 p.m. One man threatened another on Patrick Creek Road, accusing him of sleeping with the subject’s wife.
