ATLANTA – The Atlanta Falcons have selected safety Shann Schillinger of Montana as their seventh and final pick of the NFL draft.
Schillinger (6-0, 202) is the Falcons’ second defensive back taken in the draft. He was the second pick of the sixth round, and the 171st overall.
A native of Baker, Schillinger joins former Grizzly Kroy Biermann of Hardin in Atlanta.
Schillinger in his final season at Montana had 90 tackles and four interceptions to help the Grizzlies advance to the Football Championship Subdivision title game.
He is the eighth player selected out of the FCS.
