By Beacon Staff

HELENA – The Montana Highway Patrol says a 20-year-old man has died of injuries suffered in a one-vehicle rollover on a county road north of Eureka.

Sgt. Duane Bowers says a Jeep driven by 19-year-old Dillon Peterson of Eureka went off the right side of the road at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and went up a steep embankment. When the vehicle came down the other side of the embankment it overturned and ejected the driver and front seat passenger, Randy Kirkedahl of Trego.

Kirkedahl died shortly after arriving at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Peterson was treated and released at North Country Medical Clinic. The back seat passenger, 18-year-old Cody Burk of Eureka, was not injured.
