POLSON – A 50-year-old Ronan man is charged with threatening the Lake County attorney.
William “Bull” Durgeloh pleaded not guilty to a felony count of threats and improper influence in official and political matters during a hearing Wednesday before District Judge C.B. McNeil in Polson.
Prosecutors say Durgeloh screamed obscenities and threats at Lake County Attorney Mitch Young on May 7 after Durgeloh’s nephew was found guilty in a sexual assault case.
Young was also the prosecutor when Durgeloh’s son, Jeremiah Green, was convicted in May 2006 of two counts of accountability to murder in a plot to steal $200 in student loan money from a man. A woman was also killed.
Kathleen Jenks with the state attorney general’s office has been brought in to prosecute the case against Durgeloh, who is jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.
