Cat-astrophe and a Cable Conundrum

8:13 a.m. Authorities could not locate a suspicious man seen carrying a bike on his shoulder near a local trailer court.

8:30 a.m. Two dogs in Kila attacked a neighbor’s goats. Although one broke a horn and sustained other major injuries, no goats were killed in the incident.

9:22 a.m. Numerous horses were seized and taken to the county fairgrounds after it was determined that they were being treated cruelly.

9:37 a.m. A maroon van reported to contain two unsupervised children at an Evergreen box store was gone when authorities arrived.

12:34 p.m. A man with long hair and a long beard was seen lying in the middle of Highway 93. He was gone when authorities arrived.

1:36 p.m. A resident of Evergreen reports that her ex-boyfriend took her car without permission. The man was arrested after it was found that he was in fact driving the vehicle with fictitious plates.

1:52 p.m. A fire seen on Lake Blaine Road turned out to be a controlled burn.

2:05 p.m. A resident of Parkview Drive evidently wanted the fire department to help extricate a stuck cat from a pile of logs. The woman eventually decided that her husband could do the job.

3:13 p.m. Individuals at a Whitefish business claim that their cable equipment was stolen by a rival cable company.

6:40 p.m. Someone apparently came into a Martin City campsite and stole a canoe, leaving tire tracks behind.

9:07 p.m. Deputies could not locate a suspicious man wearing camouflage and carrying a big gun near a local construction site.

10:43 p.m. Authorities located a woman who had threatened to walk to Florida. The woman, who reportedly suffered from anxiety problems, was given a ride to a local motel.
