Kalispell Man Dies in Rollover

By Beacon Staff

Authorities say a 79-year-old Kalispell man has died in a single-vehicle rollover.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the man was in the wrong lane on West Reserve about 1 p.m. on Friday when he ran off the road to avoid a collision with oncoming traffic and hit a large rock, causing his car to roll.

Police say he was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 2 p.m.

Police say speed was a factor in the crash, but it’s not known if alcohol was involved.

The man’s name has not been released.
