Missing Lake County Woman Faces Arrest

POLSON – A Lake County woman who went missing late last week has a warrant out for her arrest on an embezzlement charge.

Sheriff Lucky Larson says 52-year-old Kathy Sammons of Charlo was last seen leaving the Whitefish Credit Union in Polson at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. She left to do work-related errands in Polson, but never arrived.

Her vehicle was found at an unoccupied residence three miles east of Pablo on Thursday.

District Judge Kim Christopher signed a warrant Friday for Sammons’ arrest. Her bail was set at $500,000.

Deputy Lake County Attorney Cory Allen says the amount of the alleged theft is about $675,000. He says that number could change as the investigation continues

Sammons is white, 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 215 pounds. She has long brunette hair and blue eyes.
