Glacier’s Horn Commits to Play Football at MSU

By Beacon Staff

Congratulations to Joel Horn, who, before even starting his senior season of high school football, has verbally committed to play at Montana State University.

Horn, an offensive and defensive lineman for Glacier High School, is a formidable presence in Class AA football, standing 6-5 and weighing 240 pounds. Last year, he was named first-team all-conference and second-team all-state for offensive tackle, which is the position he expects to play at MSU.

Horn, 17, told me that his grandfather and parents all went to MSU, so he has been a Bobcats’ fan his whole life. But he is the first in his family to play sports at the university. He plans to study engineering.

Gauging by the Bobcats’ fan message boards, people in Bozeman are excited for the talented lineman. But before they get him, we still have one more season to cheer for him in Kalispell.
