The Eighth Annual Whitefish Friends and Family Fun Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday Aug. 28 at 9:30 a.m. It starts in front of Whitefish’s SPORT Center and then winds along a wooded trail that opens up into the neighborhoods surrounding North Valley Hospital and the Smith Complex fields before finishing back at the SPORT Center.
It is a family-oriented event, featuring a 5-kilometer run/walk, a 10-kilometer run and a 1-mile family walk. All proceeds go to the Child Development Center and Shepherd’s Hand Clinic.
The Child Development Center offers services at no cost to families and children with developmental disabilities or delays in western Montana. The Shepherd’s Hand Free Clinic provides quality medical care for people without health insurance in the Flathead Valley.
