Dogs vs. Humans

7:24 a.m. A car with a faulty window was broken into on Cheery Lynne Road. Prescription medication, tools, a tool box, a cooler full of huckleberries, fishing poles and a food stamps card were taken.

7:57 a.m. A pit bull was spotted running in the turning lane on Highway 93 South. When a woman tried to get him out of the road the ambitious dog jumped onto her car and snapped at her. It then jumped off and ran down a one-way street.

8:54 a.m. A son took his dad’s pistol and possibly pawned it.

9:30 a.m. A dog running down Highway 2 West successfully evaded the caring folks who tried to catch it.

10:42 a.m. A vicious dog consistently chases a man down Lodge Pole Road. He called in because he doesn’t know what to do.

11:14 a.m. A heeler-pit bull mix ran in traffic on Highway 2 East.

12:37 p.m. Two females were apparently smoking pot inside a bright yellow coup near Three Mile Drive.

2:57 p.m. A dog bit someone in Hungry Horse.

4:31 p.m. A distracted man from Trumble Creek called in to tell deputies that the “cops need to do a better job” because he’s seen “several rear-end collisions.” Deputies are now aware.

5:09 p.m. A grandma called in to claim that she co-signed for her grandson to buy a trailer. However, he has not made a single payment, leaving her responsible for the debt.

5:43 p.m. Two men with the same last name fought while loading a car onto a trailer in Columbia Falls.

6:34 p.m. An expensive bike was stolen out of a truck on Montclair Drive.

6:35 p.m Two dogs ran at large on Highway 93. They too evaded capture.

6:41 p.m. A missing 3-year-old boy was found hiding in his home.

7:10 p.m. A man called and threatened to burn down a Nicholson Drive resident’s home.

7:41 p.m. A man on Shady Lane yelled, screamed and threw stuff. He then calmed down and cleaned up his mess.

8:28 p.m. A Helena Flats couple claimed their son had called to let them know that he was going to come over and shoot them. They wanted deputies to talk to him.

8:30 p.m. A gas store attendant reported that he had allowed a man to fill up his tank without paying. The man claimed he had forgotten his wallet and would come back to pay. He never returned.
