8:44 a.m. A man called in from Haskill Drive to say his wife thought she heard things and saw a flashlight in a foreclosed house. When deputies checked on the unoccupied residence they found no sign of disturbance.

11:00 a.m. A man who had apparently spent the morning drinking was seen urinating in a parking lot near Kila, walking awkwardly and driving a car badly.

2:50 p.m. Someone called in worried about a Jellison Road resident’s eight dogs. The dogs were checked on and were doing just fine.

3:29 p.m. It was reported that someone kicked a Bigfork resident’s door and ran off into the windy night.

4:15 p.m. A suspicious person driving a white Cadillac was taking pictures of houses on Highway 2 East.

4:54 p.m. A man was angered when kids at a Flathead Lake boat launch made a fun of him.

6:02 p.m. Someone called in bored from Highway 93 South to talk about someone who was sitting on a mattress in the back of a truck. The caller was worried that the person was riding in the back while the truck was moving. Deputies responded and found the truck and its passenger located safely within the vehicle.

9:05 p.m. A wildly intoxicated 19-year-old Evergreen man was arrested after he came into an elderly woman’s house, woke her up and kissed her. He told her he came to babysit and that “Cindy” had sent him. The woman had no idea what he was talking about. The man left but came back shortly after and pushed the 85-year-old woman down. Witnesses claimed he had been running through yards making a general fool out of himself.

9:29 p.m. A man who briefly walked away from his poker machine came back to find that someone had cashed out and taken his $281.

12:09 a.m. A man from Smokey Bear Lane claims there are relatives on his property and he wants them gone.

Of the 27 traffic stops made by deputies this Thursday, many were made in school zones. The Sheriff’s Department wants to remind drivers that school is back in session and to drive cautiously.
