Montana Falls to 14th in FCS Poll While MSU Rises

The University of Montana football team continued its slide in the Football Championship Subdivision polls, falling from sixth to 14th.

Montana lost 36-27 on Saturday to Eastern Washington, which is ranked 10th in the FCS poll released Monday. The Grizzlies had been ranked No. 1 two weeks ago before losing to then-unranked Cal Poly.

Montana State moved up to 16th after a 48-21 win over Drake.

The Sports Network poll also put Montana at No. 14 and Montana State at No. 17.

Appalachian St. was No. 1 in the FCS poll, while The Sports Network put Villanova in the top spot.
