8:32 a.m. A lost dog with bad hips and terrible eyesight was rescued from the animal shelter by its owner.
11:21 a.m. A 15-year-old runaway hopped on a plane to California against her parents’ will.
11:46 a.m. There was a report of a “puppy mill” on Middle Fork Road.
1:22 p.m. A Bigfork woman called in to say that a “confused” woman told her she was worried because she hadn’t seen her apartment manager in three weeks.
1:50 p.m. Someone called in to say that they were being scammed. Shortly after they called in to say that they really hadn’t been scammed.
3:57 p.m. A mad Kalispell woman called 911 after she chased and caught the kids who had been throwing rocks at her SUV. Deputies turned the kids over to their parents.
4:07 p.m. A woman called in to say that someone followed her home last Tuesday. However, she wasn’t able to offer any useful information regarding the other vehicle.
5:52 p.m. A 10-year-old boy was kicked off the bus after he told a terrified third-grader that he was going to bring a rifle onto the bus. The boy’s mother claims she doesn’t know why he would say such things and that the boy doesn’t have access to guns.
6:40 p.m. Someone on East Reserve Drive though it was necessary to tell the Sheriff’s Department that they saw a man sitting in an old van next to the river.
8:55 p.m. A King’s Loop man called the Sheriff’s Department when his wife moved all of his belongings out onto the lawn and told him to get out. He also claimed she beat him up, something deputies were unable to substantiate.
9:45 p.m. A man on South Cedar Drive called in to say that his harassing ex-wife won’t stop calling.
10:19 p.m. Someone called in to report a hitchhiker. Deputies checked him out and he was fine.
11:47 p.m. A woman from Columbia Falls called in to say she couldn’t find her brother. Because the hitchhiker had been identified, deputies were able to inform the woman that her brother could be found hitchhiking on Highway 2.
12:37 a.m. Deputies were unable to find the loud saxophone player keeping people awake in Hungry Horse.
