91 Marijuana Plants Seized from Home Near Marion

By Beacon Staff

Authorities say they have seized 91 pot plants from a medical marijuana caregiver’s home.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office says the plants exceeded the number allowed by the state’s medical marijuana law.

Sheriff Mike Meehan says there have been no arrests yet.

The Daily Inter Lake reports authorities discovered the plants on a porch and in nearby greenhouses when responding to a disturbance at the home near Marion on Wednesday. They obtained a search warrant that day and confiscated the plants.

The law limits the number of plants a caregiver may possess at six per patient.

Authorities did not name the caregiver.
