Bizarre Thieves on Caroline Road

Thursday 9/24

11:06 a.m. A woman in the Columbia Falls area found a dead fox and didn’t know what to do with it.

11:41 a.m. An 11-year-old boy was charged with assault when he beat up a 10-year-old kid. Later he was charged with assault again because he also punched his sister.

3:18 p.m. A man called in from Shady Lane to report that while he was having a seizure, one of his two friends stole his wallet.

6:20 p.m. Someone called in from Twin Lakes Road to complain about their neighbor who was spray painting graffiti on their property.

7:20 p.m. Two men and their three dogs were told to get off private property on Quarter Horse Lane, but refused. Deputies found them and told them to leave.

8:23 p.m. A Hungry Horse resident called in after he watched his neighbor slam into his truck, push it up against a fence, then drive off.

8:52 p.m. A Caroline Road resident reported that someone just ran through their yard carrying something large.

8:59 p.m. The aggressive neighbor from Hungry Horse returned to fight the resident who had reported the hit and run. The resident was holding a baseball bat, ready for his neighbor. Deputies told him to go inside and take his bat with him. Montana Highway Patrol handled the neighbor.

9:14 p.m. Someone drove into a Caroline Road resident’s driveway, stole one tire, then left.

10:06 p.m. A man who habitually sneaks around a building in Columbia Falls was seen again. When confronted, he ran off.
