By Beacon Staff

MISSOULA – The Montana Highway Patrol says a one-vehicle crash near Hot Springs has claimed the lives of two Montana men.

The patrol says the driver of a pickup truck lost control on Secondary Highway 77 early Saturday. The pickup swerved several times, went off the road, hit a dirt berm in the ditch, overturned and struck a telephone pole and a fence. The pickup rolled across a pasture before coming to a rest.

A 36-year-old man from Plains and a 35-year-old man from Belgrade were both ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Their names have not been released.
