HELENA – Gov. Brian Schweitzer is traveling as part of a delegation to Israel to meet with government and business leaders.
The trip is being paid for and organized by the Solomon Project, a Washington, D.C., nonprofit group that takes leaders to Israel on educational missions. The governor and his wife will be overseas through Oct. 16.
Schweitzer will also be spending two days in Spain meeting with renewable energy company officials. Some of the companies are involved in Montana wind farm and transmission line projects.
Schweitzer tells the Lee Newspapers State Bureau that the trip is another chance to recruit business to the state.
