Zoning Marijuana Coffee Huts

Medical marijuana was a hot topic at the Montana League of Cities and Towns in Butte this week. Bozeman city attorney Greg Sullivan said, after that town heavily regulated the industry, it has run into more issues it didn’t see coming. From Lee Newspapers:

The city is considering how to deal with business license requests for “compassion clubs,” medical marijuana grow consultants and laboratories where various strains of medical marijuana are tested.

There have also been requests in Montana from people seeking to open drive-up storefronts similar to coffee huts and how those would fit into zoning requirements, Sullivan said.
