Montana Man Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash Near Arlee

MISSOULA – Authorities say a Montana man is dead after a two-vehicle crash southeast of Arlee.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the man, whose name and hometown have not been released, was headed north on U.S. Highway 93 on Friday morning when he drove off the side of the road and into a ditch. Trooper Eli Wolfe says the driver got back onto the highway and struck a southbound truck pulling a horse trailer.

Wolfe told the Missoulian the driver of the truck was not hurt but some of her horses suffered minor injuries. The trooper says he does not think alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
