HELENA – U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg again topped challenger Dennis McDonald in the latest round of campaign finance reports.
The incumbent raised more than $230,000 for the three-month period that ended Sept. 30. That brings Rehberg’s total for the election cycle to more than $1.2 million.
McDonald, a Melville rancher and former Democratic Party chairman, raised more than $66,000. He has raised more than $220,000 overall.
Rehberg has about the same amount of money on hand, just under $600,000, he rolled over at the start from his 2008 campaign.
McDonald reported having about $13,000 on hand.
Libertarian Candidate Mike Fellows has not raised enough money to warrant filing a report.
