Tim O’Brien, author of “The Things They Carried,” signs books after his talk at Flathead Valley Community College Thursday as a part of the Flathead County Library’s “The Big Read.” Upcoming events for The Big Read include an invitation to veterans to share their stories, a panel discussion on remembering Vietnam and a presentation of the film, “Vietnam Nurses,” introduced by Diane Carlson Evans.
