HELENA – A new poll shows Montana voters mostly disapprove of President Barack Obama’s job performance and they largely oppose the federal health care reform.
The Montana State University-Billings poll also shows that about 70 percent want wolves removed from the endangered species list.
The phone survey of 416 registered voters conducted last week has a margin of error of 5 percent.
The poll says about 60 percent don’t like the job the president is doing, while 32 percent approve. Obama got better marks on foreign policy than he did for managing the economy.
On other issues:
— About 80 percent think the national economy is still in a recession.
— Nearly 50 percent support abolishing the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. Thirty percent think it should stay.
