Yellowstone Club Sale Back to Bankruptcy Court

By Beacon Staff

BILLINGS – A federal judge has sent a legal challenge to last year’s $115 million sale of the Yellowstone Club back to a bankruptcy judge for reconsideration.

U.S. District Judge Samuel Haddon remanded the case on Friday to Bankruptcy Judge Ralph Kirscher, who approved the sale to CrossHarbor Capital Partners last May.

Former club owner Timothy Blixseth appealed the sale, saying CrossHarbor head Sam Byrne colluded with Blixseth’s ex-wife, Edra, to take over the club and cheat him out of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Tim Blixseth declined comment Friday. His attorney said he was happy with Haddon’s ruling.

CrossHarbor attorney Paul Moore said he was confident Judge Kirscher would address any “technical deficiencies” in his earlier rulings.
